2010 Concerts
Arvid Lunden and Carla Carnegie played traditional Scandinavian music at our Swedish Midsummer Concert in June 30. Carla is Arvid’s cousin, and they played music at family gatherings. The link showed in their music at the concert.
We danced around the maypole.

Rob Ely played Irish music on the hammered dulcimer on July 18 for our Salad and Desert Picnic. He was accompanied by Paul Ely Smith. With hammers sailing, the Irish music never sounded so good in a Swedish church. Music moved outside where we danced a jig. Hammers were a sailing. An amazing rhythm that brings back memories of a little Irish in all of us.

Spare Time played Music of Americana - Folk - Blues Music on August 29. Members of the group are Paul and Janet Anders, Karen Launchbaugh, Terri Grzebielski and Dave Bezdicek. The music and energy flowed out to fill the church.
Spare time is special and we thank them for donating their time and talents.
Melissa Wilson played at our September 19 concert. She was accompanied by her brother Ben. They filled the church with many favorites and standards of folk and fiddle festivals. This duo could make the strings sing. What a wonderful surprise reflecting lots of years of practice and pleasure of playing together. We did well by selecting Melissa as the winner of the 2009 Cordelia Fiddle Contest and it was exciting to hear her play a full concert . All enjoyed the music.
