2014 Concerts

Juliana Witt and Friends returned to Cordelia to play a full concert and wowed the audience with tunes on the pump organ, melodeon and harpsichord on June 22. During the concert we heard vocalist Sarah Davis, cellist Janet McIntosh and violinists Sarah Church and Eric Stuen. Special thank you to Linda Edwards for lending her harpsichord and Latah County Historical Society for lending their melodeon.

How Great Thou Art.

The festival included a maypole and other traditions. Thank you to those who brought cookies and other Swedish food traditions. They included: Linda DeWitt, Linda Edwards, Jackie Greenwalt, Gretchen Isakson, Jeanette Johnston, Kitty Masters, Christie Nickels, Linda Nickels Nancy Ruth Peterson, Terry Peterson, and Susan Roberts (our apologies to anyone we have forgotten!).

Dan Maher returned with his guitar and vocals on July 13. In 2012 we sang along with Dan, who is the host of Inland Folk on Northwest Public Radio. He is a legend on the Palouse. He and Chris Stordahl sang new and old folk songs and took requests from the audience.

Serendipity, a Vocal Trio + Friends, was a real crowd pleaser on August 17. The vocal trio included Terri Grzebielski, April Rubino and Elizabeth Stevens. They were accompanied by Henry C. Willard on guitar and dobro. Doug Park on upright base and Tom Carroll on percussion and mouth harp.

Border Highlanders, an amazing group of pipers and drummers, blew us away and danced their way into our hearts on September 14. It was a perfect September day for an outdoor concert.
